Ahmedabad: Hospital in the city has reported 2,809 cases of dengue fever from January 1 to November 23 this year, up 559% from 432 cases registered as a total of 2020.
The city also reported 1,498 cases of Chikungunya in the same period, up 62% from 923 The case recorded in all 2020.
Data from the Ministry of Health Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) showed that there were 947 malaria cases in this period, up 53% from 618 in 2020.
The city also recorded 103 falciparum cases, an increase of 61% of 64 cases last year.
Cases of water diseases also increased this year, according to AMC numbers.
About 1,900 tifoid cases were registered with 1,338 cases in 2020.
There were 3,397 cases of diarrhea in this period against 2,072 cases in 2020.
A total of 64 cases of cholera had been registered this year.
