Ahmedabad: The disease transmitted through vectors in the city has increased specifically between January and September compared to the same period last year.
The city registered a 243% surge in dengue cases while the Chikungunya case rose 155% during January 21 to September 11 this year compared to January 20 to September 30 last year.
Data from the Health Office Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation revealed that on January 21 to September 11 this year, Dengue cases in the city reached 875 against 255 cases during January 20 to September 30 last year.
The case of dengue fever has doubled in the first nine months of this year against 432 cases throughout last year.
The Chikungunya case in the same period this year stood in 500 against 196 years ago.
In 2020, the Chikungunya case was established at 932.
In addition, the Ministry of Health data showed that the case of the Falciparum Malaria was registered between January 21 and the September 11 this year was established at the age of 50 against 35 cases in the same period last year.
Malaria cases in the city rose from 436 years ago to 549 this year.
The Ministry of Health took a total of 42,254 blood samples so far in September against 71,154 samples in September last year.
The Civic body has collected 1,812 serum samples for cases of dengue fever so far this month.
The case of water disease has also registered an increase in this period, indicating the AMC figure.
A total of 64 cases of cholera have been registered in the city between January 21 and September 11.
There were no cases of cholera last year.
In the same period, City Typoid Case rose to 1,368 from 965 years ago.
The health department official said that the Malaria control team from the Civic body sprayed the remaining in the room at 1.27,121 housing and 6,781 non-housing places.
