Ahmedabad: A car that quickly ran past a five-bed family on a path near the Bimanagar community near the intersection of Shivranjani, and finished life during Tuesday night hours.
Baby Babhor’s casual worker (40) and wife one (38) together with their three children fell asleep on the path.
The corner they called their home turned into a death trap when the 22-year-old Parv Shah, a resident of Mithakhali, who was allegedly in chasing cars, ran over them.
The incident lasted about 100 meters from the traffic defeating Shivranjani Chowky police, almost KM from the satellite police station, and between two police points at Crossroads Shivranjani and Nehrunagar circle.
The police could not arrest the defendant.
Instead, Parv appeared in front of them around 15 hours after the accident.
He claimed he was chased by the police in a private sedan.
City police do not accept claims or reject them.
According to FIR submitted with the Division Traffic Police by the victim’s son of Rupesh Bhabhor, 20, the impact throws one in the air.
He crashed back onto the road, while his brothers – Vikram (7) and Jetan (5) – and Pastor Babu suffered injuries.
Rupesh miraculously fled without stopping.
