AHMEDABAD: On May 4, the country had recorded its greatest ever busy Covid-19 instance tally in 1.48 lakh. About Sunday — 19 days after — the busy instances got nearly halved at 75,134. Analysis of the previous fortnight demonstrated that fall in cases in important districts helped decrease the overall amounts. Fifteen days ago, Ahmedabad and Surat districts had listed two of their greatest active instance tally in 61,956 and 14,752 respectively. This accounted for 53 percent of Gujarat’s overall active instances. As of Sunday, the two Ahmedabad and Surat had documented a fall in activity by 60 percent. Ahmedabad had 22,809 active situations, whereas Surat had 5,647 instances. Vadodara with 8,118 instances had the 2nd highest active instances. Chhota Udepur using 74% fall in cases topped the tally of maximum reduction in cases, followed by 66 percent in Narmada, 64 percent in Morbi, 63 percent in Ahmedabad and 62 percent in Surat.
