Ahmedabad: A 23-year-old man from the City Gota area allegedly raped a woman repeatedly in a hotel and when he opposed, he forced him to consume poison.
He also took poison.
The incident occurred about seven days ago, said a police officer of Sola on Friday.
The officer said that the woman had a relationship with the man about four years ago but has been married to another man about three years ago.
He accused his complaint submitted to Police Sola on Thursday that Akshay Bharwad, 23, continued to chase him even after his marriage.
When Bharwad endlessly threatened him with terrible consequences, he decided to meet him a month ago.
He allegedly took him to several pilgrimages.
He alleged that he had raped it during that period and continued to press him to leave his husband and marry him.
He alleged that he then took him to a hotel in a Gota where he consumed poison when he opposed his sexual violence.
He said in his code that he had made him consume poison too.
Both of them fell very painful afterwards.
Bharwad called several friends and they brought both to a private hospital in a Gota where Medico-legal cases were archived.
Police Sola filed a complaint of rape and tried to kill against Bharwad and arrested him.
