The last song Bappi Lahiri which he recorded for a commercial Bollywood film was Bankas from Baaghi 3 (2020).
It was a recreation from the own Ek Aankh Maaru song from the 1984 Tohfa film.
Bombay time spoke with the film director Ahmed Khan who remembered the enthusiasm of BAPPI DA during song recording.
“For me he had this sweet and sweet legend.
He was the same in real life too because he was seen in all his interviews.

Being a child actor, the director had the opportunity to meet him before in his career.
“I act in a film called AAJ to Angaarey (1988) and this film music was carried out by BAPPI DA.
I was 12 years old later and had to meet him.
He remembered me since then.
He will always say, ‘You are a small child and now see you , you have become the director ‘.
So, when we worked at Baaghi 3, I like the reality of how he did not treat me as a child because he had seen me growing up, but as a director who was able to handle this project.
After saying that, every time I met him, I became a child (laugh!).

Given the time when he recorded the Starrer Shoff Tiger song, Ahmed said, “I showed that Bappi Da Sang for this song and I made him sing at least a Stanza, he did.
