Ahmedabad: 1 Killed when the car catches fire, falls into a hole

Ahmedabad: A 50-year-old man from Dhandhuka surrendered to burn injury on Friday after the car he drove the turtle and fell into the pit near Patia Umargadh in Dholka.
A pine filed with Dhandhuka police identified the deceased such as Siddiq Khalifa, a resident of Padana.
He was on his way to a marriage in Dholka with his employees Jaydeep Vasukia, 20, when the accident occurred.
When the vehicle approaches a sharp turn near Pati Umargadh, Khalifa loses control over the steering wheel.
The car was dragged for a few meters and crashed into a tree, before it was burned, upside down and fell into the roadside hole.
Vasukia has a narrow escape when he was thrown out of the vehicle while turning the turtle.
The car is stuck vertically in the hole and caught fire.
Vasukia continued to shout for help about half an hour before the locals came to save them.
Both Khalifa and Vasukia were taken to the nearest hospital.
However, because Khalifa suffered severe burns, he was referred to Ahmedabad’s civil hospital.
But he died in the ambulance on his way to the hospital.
His body was then taken to the hospital in Dhandhuka for Post-Mortem.
Police Dhandhuka registered a negligatory complaint leading to death against Khalifa and began investigating.
