Ahmedabad: The Ministry of Health Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has filed a police complaint against 10 people for violating a period of compulsory 7-day house quarantine in the last three days.
AMC has made quarantine 7 days mandatory for those who arrive in the city of ‘risky countries’.
“On December 7 and 9, we submitted 10 police complaints against people who came from riskies that were at risk for violating their 7 day quarantine period.
We called and examined people who had returned from abroad and found that 10 of these people.
Have roamed, endangering the life of others through their carelessness, “AMC official said.
He said that police complaints had been submitted under the 2005 Gujarat Epidemic Regulation and ACT Disaster Management.
The official said that the highest number of violations had been observed in Maninagar followed by Chandkheda.
“Of the five, five complaints have been submitted in the Maninagar area followed by four complaints at Chandkheda.
One complaint has been submitted in the Vastric area,” the official said.
He said that two complaints were submitted on 7 and December 8 while the remaining complaints were submitted on Thursday.
