AHMEDABAD: A 21-year-old woman from the Anandnagar area of the city filed a complaint with police on Thursday alleging that she had been molested when she was sleeping outside her house during the wee hours on Wednesday.
“The incident took place when the woman was sleeping outside her house and suddenly she felt that someone was touching her indecently.
When she suddenly woke up, the accused man molested her and tried to overpower her,” said an officer of Ananadnagar police.
The officer said that scared with the accused’s act, the woman began screaming for help and her neighbours rushed to help her.
She said that the accused fled from there and later some of her neighbours called up cops.
A team of Ananadnagar police reached the spot and took the woman’s statement and later filed a complaint of molestation against an unknown person.
