AHMEDABAD: Santoshi Rajput, 18, a resident of Ahmedabad, had dialysis 2 to three times per week because her kidneys had failed.
After an ordeal of two decades, lately she obtained a kidney from her dad Surendra Bahadursingh, 60, in IKDRC or Kidney Hospital at Civil Hospital premises.
Dr Vineet Mishra, manager of IKDRC, stated that in the last two decades, both 634 guys have given kidneys for their kids.
“In 537 cases, the receivers were all sons, also at 97 they were brothers.
On the flip side, the amount of cases (9) is exactly the same if a kid donated kidney to store dads,” he explained.
Citing recent cases, the IKDRC officials stated Savji Bavaliyaa resident of Bhavnagar, given his kidney to his own son Vipul, 18, experiencing kidney failure.
Similarly, Jaiprakash Singh, 63, a resident of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, given his kidney to his 29-year-old son Pravin Singh to rescue his life.
“Fathers frequently accompany individuals for dialysis and other processes.
While they do not talk much, we’ve found them waiting whole nights to listen to that a single update regarding their kids,” stated an IKDRC official.
