AHMEDABAD: Burglars broke in home of an assistant commissioner of police (ACP) from the Vastrapur place in broad daylight and left away with jewellery worth Rs 9 lakh and Rs 5 lakh money on Tuesday, says a complaint filed in Vastrapur police station on Wednesday.
According to the FIR, the burglary happened at home of ACP H branch Prakash Prajapati.
The home from the Vastrapur Sarkari Vasahat has been secured because he had been on his spouse was about pilgrimage to the Lord Dwarkadhish temple.
Prajapati’s spouse, Lata, a teacher using a main faculty at Sadarav village at Aravalli district, said in the FIR she had gone into the Dwarkadhish temple May 31.
“At about 10.30pm on June 1, my husband phoned me and advised that a unidentified man had broken into the home, ransacked it stolen jewelry.
As he had been oblivious of the worth of this jewelry, he requested me the worth.
I informed him I’d have the ability to say just once I arrived home,” she stated at the FIR.
She hurried home on Wednesday and discovered that jewelry, a pair of silver eyeglasses and money value a total of Rs 13.90 lakh was lost on their home.
She said at the FIR which Prakash had closed the home around 11am on Tuesday and proceeded to operate.
He returned around 10.30pm and discovered that the home was burgled.
Vastrapur authorities registered a criticism of criminal and civil trespass and started an investigation.
Police personnel started collecting CCTV footage in the region to recognize the accused men.
