Ahmedabad: There was a commotion at a school in a Gota on Saturday after parents alleged that his son was expelled from sustainable examination because his hairstyle was considered “inappropriate”.
An official who worked with school management said that the accusation was not true.
The official said the student was told earlier that he had to get the right haircut, failing which he would not be allowed to attend school.
Students do not comply with instructions and therefore not allowed to enter the school building, the official said.
The student’s parents said that the actions of school discriminatory.
Students in question have been dismissed from school in the past due to cost arrears, said source.
“My child should be allowed to take the test.
The school should not go as far as expelling it from the exam on such problems,” said the parent.
“There are other students in class with similar hairstyles that are allowed to take the exam.
This is discrimination.”
