The police said that he committed suicide because he was worried because he did not get a guarantee and he wanted to get out of prison.
The deceased was identified as Jaimin Patel, a South Bopal resident, who was jailed since January 2021 after he was arrested by Crime Branch in a gang rape case, where a Rajkot woman accused him and raped him.
“When a prison officer went to Patel cells at Barrack No.

The officer said that the Prison Authority called the doctor who examined and declared him to die.
Later, his body was taken to a civil hospital in Asarwa for postmortem and accidental death cases registered with Ranip police.
Inspector J B Khambhla from the ranip police said that they did not get suicide notes from the deceased.
“But inmates including you who were accused of gang rape cases told the police that he was tense because he did not get a guarantee,” he said.
“He did not get a guarantee once after he was arrested by Crime Branch in January 2021.
This is the cause of frustration for him because he ends life,” Khamlaha said.
Patel together with Patel Pragnesh Sola, Jitendra Goswami from Vastra and Maldev Bharwad from Isanpur was held after a 26-year-old woman from Rajkot accused him of being raped by them when he went to them looking for a job.
He accused his complaint with the Women’s (Western) Police Station that he was taken to Udaipur, Abu, Mandvi, and Gandhidham where he was raped by the defendant.
He also accused that the defendant raped him in a moving SUV.
After anesthetizing him, they were suspected of taking photos and videos in sacrificing the position to squeeze it.
