Ahmedabad: After the industrial unit, the Civic’s body health department team has begun to examine hotels and hospitals, and collect the cumulative fine of Rs 4.71 Lakh on the mosquito breeding site.
AMC officials said that mosquitoes were found to be breed in the cooler, water that had accumulated on the terrace with clogged rain pipes.
Also, mosquitoes are found to be breed in the overhead water tank and in puddles in stacks of materials that are not used.
AMC examined 560 units and found a mosquito farm on 427, which was issued a notification.
The Civic body imposed a fine of RS 25,000 on three companies including Metropol (Sardar Patel Stadium Ward), Treatol Hotel (Thaltej) and Shalby Hospital.
Short RS 20,000 applied at the Marriott Hotel (Sardar Patel Stadium Ward) and RS 15,000 in Shree Narayan Multi Specialist Hospital (Saraspur).
Both Rs 10,000 applied at Moni Hotel (Lambha), Annexe Airport (Sardarnagar) Hotel, Kothari Hospital (Danilimsa), Jayyush Hospital and Saket Surgical (Chandlodia), Uncon Hospital and Global Hospital (Bodakdev), Pushp Hospital (Navrangpura ) and SMS hospital in Chandkheda.
Among the other houses and hotels finished in the western part of the city there is a Krishna Shalby Hospital, Womens Café, Hotel Urban Inn, Hotel Parka, Hotel Riverview (Think in Navrangpura), Ginger Hotel, Novatel Hotel (Jodhpur) and others.
