Ahmedabad held the first ODI India

Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad was honored to hold an international match one day first played in India on November 25, 1981.
India, which was returned by Sunil Gavascar, played in England, in Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium in Navrangpura.
England won the match – limited to 46 overs per side – with five numbers.
They won a throw and asked India for bats.
Both openers, Gavaskar and K Srikanth came out for ducks.
Dilip Vengsarkar hit 46 Run and Kirti Azad 30 when India reached 156 for 7.
For England, Mike Gatting scored 47 and Ian Botham 25, when they won with 13 balls.
