Ahmedabad: On December 22, Ahmedabad City only had five omicron cases, but on December 30 there were 34 patients such as wasolated by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and shifted to a special ward at the SVP Hospital.
Of this number, 10 are women.
Omikron numbers overall grow, say AMC officials.

A state health department official said that even though AMC health officials had been strict in isolating omicron patients, but there were five complaints where patients were detected with the omicron variant of the above regions who had demanded relaxation and even refused to move to the SVP hospital, until they were warned will be police case.

In Gujarat, in seven days ended Tuesday, 79 Omicron cases were reported, including 37 cases or 47%, did not have a travel history.
