Ahmedabad: The celebration is always about expectations, enthusiasm, and pure enthusiasm, without filters.
But because of the plague of pandemic, keeping the celebration check while trying to keep the spirits high into normal.
Uttarayan this year is no different.
While fans are all the games about the terrace in the morning, soak in the sun and enjoy flying kites, Gema Kai Po Che can be muted in the midst of Covid-19 cases and many restrictions.
With the state government guidelines that prohibit large meetings on the terrace and the use of loudspeakers, Sankranti Makar will be a little sluggish than usual this year.
“I like flying kites and since I was little, I haven’t missed celebrating it.
Even though there will be no big loudspeakers or meetings, I’m sure you will be as beautiful as flying kites and enjoy celebrations with my daughter and niece,” Jignesh Desai said, “said Jignesh Desai, Vejalpur resident.
At night the festival, the market in Delhi Darwaza, Raipur and Kalapur, have a crowded with buyers.
Colorful kites carry messages that drive vaccinations and keep a lot here.
The overall sales remained boring in the first 10 days of January.
As a consequence, even kite makers have reduced prices to increase sales.
And while Covid-19 continued to disrupt travel plans, it didn’t seem to reduce the enthusiasm of leaflets.
The housing community has issued an advisor to encourage people to be careful.
“We have advised members to avoid gathering extra crowds in the community,” Chiranjeev Jha, Chairperson, Richmond Grand Society at Makarba.
“Guests will not be rejected.
The plan has been made to manage the crowd on the terrace by allocating time to a particular apartment block,” he said.
On the other hand, certain other communities are strict in forcing guidelines.
Arvind Chauhan, chairman of a community in Jodhpur, said, “We have not organized social events in the past two years.
Members worry about their safety.
We have taken necessary steps such as screening at the community gate, often sanitation and mandatory masks.”
