Rajkot: Admitted in an Ahmedabad hospital for at least a fortnight, 40-year-old Deepak Viradiya was seriously missing his buddies from Gondal. On Thursday, Viradiya, that had been on BiPAP, went on Facebook to talk with his buddies and spoke about fulfilling them shortly. But that wasn’t to be. The conversation was the final when they found their buddy. Suffering from post-Covid complications, even Viradiya breathed his final Saturday. After grabbing the disease around 17 months ago, Viradiya had tested negative for Covid-19 lately and was excited about getting discharged, among his buddies told TOI. “Throughout the FB conversation Viradiya told me that he wished to return to Gondal when he has discharged from the hospital. In actuality, I’d told him I would return to Ahmedabad on Sunday and require him to Gondal,” Tushar Viradiya, also a friend of Deepak Viradiya, told TOI. Three decades ago the Viradiya had changed to Ahmedabad in the Rajkot district city. Viradiya was able to conduct a restaurant in his native Gondal until he transferred to Ahmedabad for improved instruction of the son. “We’re jaded by the news of the passing of our beloved friend. We’re all in shock. Viradiya would place his spirit and soul to helping individuals in need. He had been President of Sardar Patel group. Due to his kind character he had a enormous buddy circle and he recalled buddies in his final days,” an inconsolable Tushar stated.
