Ahmedabad: Monkeys have created terror in the hearts of residents and commuters in the Ratan area for the past 10 days.
Simian, who seemed to be hurt, had attacked people who passed, but the Ministry of Forestry and Zoo officials experienced a difficult time for it.
Monkeys have created havoc in the area around Cinema Roopam, Ashok Cinema, Mahkali Vadi, Nagori School, and Ghireata.
It also attacked a Safai worker from behind.
Hemraj Parmar is among a dozen strange people that the monkey was attacked.
He said, “The population marks the animal with red coloring so it is easily identified.
That’s how it terror is that the vendor in the area brings a stick to ensure that the monkey is not close to them.” Even so, the monkey managed to bite the vendor on Wednesday.
The person immediately rushed to a civil hospital.
A senior forest officer said that they identified and found monkeys.
However, when the team reached the area, people gathered in large quantities, frightening the monkey.
Official said, “The monkey is limping.
Therefore, it seems that it has been attacked by humans.
It could be why it attacks people.
After being locked up, it is likely to be stored behind bars permanently.” Officials said that the authority of the zoo had been vigilant because the monkey must be appeased.
Officials said the cage had been stored in the area and people were at their feet.
Monkeys have been seen on several occasions but have not been arrested.
“It is not safe to use sedative in the area that is so crowded.
The team is late on Wednesday without a result.
Five teams will be deployed in the area on Thursday to ensure that the monkey is translated as soon as possible,” Sakira District Forest Officer said.
