Gandhinagar: Minister of Home Gujarat Pradipshinh Jadeja on Thursday announced that the state government had decided to allow Ahmedabad Rath Yatra with the preliminary curfew on the route and ban Prasad distribution on July 12.
“With the constant efforts of the Department of Health and Government Gujarat government, we have been able to drop the number of corona infections in the state.
At present the recovery rate is more than 98.54% and the level of pepositives is 0.1%.
We only have 65 positive cases in the state and state Not a single death reported yesterday.
During the last 24 hours, there were only 2 positive cases in Ahmedabad and the level of recovery was 98.5%, “Jadeja told reporters.
“Seeing all this and understanding the sentiment of the community to carry out ancient rituals, we have decided to allow Rath Yatra this year in a limited way,” Jadeja said.
“Although, the Gujarat government has given permission for Ahmedabad Rath Yatra, we ask the public to stay in the room and have ‘Darshan’ watching it directly on television,” added Jadeja.
“The Ministers of News Union Amit Shah will attend Mangala Aarti in the morning, while the Chairman of the Minister of Rupani will conduct a ceremony of the Pahind in front of the CM Deputy Nitin Patel and only a large number of people will be permitted,” Minister said.
Jadeja told that only five vehicles consisting of ‘Nishan’, ‘Danka’, three Raths and Mahant / Guardian vehicles will be allowed to participate in Rath Yatra.
“Youths, which conventionally attracted three Raths, will be asked to vaccinate and RPCR negative,” said Jadeja, added that a total of sixty youth would withdraw three trains.
Elephants, Tablo trucks, Akhada, Bhajan Mandlis etc.
are not permitted to participate in the Yatra Rath procession this year.
“The local authorities will ensure tight curfews along the entire route of 19 short kilometers from Yatra which must be completed in five hours,” added Jadyja.
