Ahmedabad: The businessman Thaltej has submitted a police complaint stating that he had deceived Rs 2.5 Crore which he had invested to get guaranteed benefits.
Anand Chaudhary, 43, said in his complaint registered at the Sola police on Saturday that he came into contact with Rematil Jain, a resident of Shahibaugh.
Chaudhary said that Jain claims to have an iron and steel business.
Jain told Chaudhary that he knew the government senior official and that he made a big profit.
Jain said Chaudhary could also get a 12% refund by investing.
Jain said that 52.50% of profits would be hers, while the rest will go to Chaudhary.
In his code, Chaudhary stated that on June 14, 2012, they signed a contract and between May and August 2012 he provided Rs 2.5 Crore to Jain as an investment.
Jain even gave Chaudhary a record promotion.
Chaudhary told the police that every time he asked for a part of his profit, Jain avoided the problem.
Chaudhary said that when he urged for investment details, Jain said his business suffered.
In fact, Chaudhary is asked to get raw materials that can be processed to make money.
Chaudhary said that when he demanded his money back, Jain gave him a check RS 2.5 Crore.
But they bounce.
Chaudhary told the police that Jain had cheated him since 2012 and will not return the money or provide a profit or a 12% refund as promised.
Police Sola has registered a cheating case and violations of trust in Jain.
