Ahmedabad: Changodar police from the Ahmedabad district booked a 28-year-old man and his parents due to violations of trust and downsizing, after his fiance accused him of rape using the promise of marriage.
The complainant, a resident of Sanand, said he met the defendant, 28, a resident of Sarkhej, at a car manufacturing factory in Moraiya Village, where he joined the work about eight months ago.
They immediately fell in love and got engaged on February 2 with the approval of family members of both parties.
After he was engaged, the defendant began visiting him at his home in Sanand often.
In February, the defendant had several disputes with his family members and began living in a complainant house.
He alleged that when he lived in his house, he had sex with him repeatedly, saying that they would get married soon.
“He lives in my house for about six months and often has sex with me.
About 15 days ago, he returned to his house after sorting out a dispute with his family,” he said.
He further said that about two weeks ago, he met him and told him that he would not marry him and wanted to let go of their relationship.
When he took this to his parents, they supported their son and told the complainant to commit suicide.
Harmed with this, the complainant has poisons consumed on August 8 to commit suicide.
He was taken to Solida Hospital where he gave his statement to the police.
Changodar police then recorded complaints for rape, violating trust and reduction in his fiancee and his parents and began an investigation.
