Tuticorin: Around 80 people, who claimed to be cadres and officials Aiaadmk, met in Vilathikulam in Tuticorin on Sunday and passed 11 resolutions that supported the secretary of the party that was expelled by V K Sasikala.
The meeting, chaired by the former Secretary of the Union and Party and Secretary and Secretary of Amma Peravai M K Velasvan, unanimously stated that Sasikala had to lead the party and strengthen it.
This meeting made ripples at a party that had passed the resolution at the district level that cadres and officials must remain connected with Sasikala or face the expulsion of AIDMK.
KovilPatti MLA and AIADMK Tuticorin District Secretary North Kadambur C Raju discusses the press meeting in this case on Monday, which is called a meeting and resolution as invalid.
The resolution that was passed by Sunday meetings included condemning all resolutions that were continued against Sasikala at a party meeting at the district headquarters and the district level.
They said that all resolutions were not a reflection of the district root level official, union and grass and passed without getting their views.
By stating that Sasicala only tried to unite the party and strengthen it in interaction with cadres by telephone, they strongly condemned the dictatorial method where the people were removed from the party.
They also appealed to Sasikala to the tourist districts after Kuncian Covid-19 and interacted with party officials and cadres to strengthen the party.
They also said the selfish motive from Edappadi K Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam on the interests of cadres resulted in the parties established and opposition.
They also condemned those who made AIDMK weak and DMK strong enough to win the assembly selection and form the government.
Other resultus including the former minister who condemned D Jayakumar, Natham Viswanathan, C V Shanmugam and K P s responded to the resolution, former Kadambur Minister Raju at his press meeting on Monday said that but for Velavan there were no other participants in the meeting on Sundays connected to aiadmk.
He said other people had moved from a party or had been removed for their anti-party activities, Velavan would be removed from the party, he added.
Raju said they did not care about Sasikala planning to travel across the country and meet cadres.
“But it shouldn’t be under AIADMK banners,” he said.
According to him, the tour of the leader incurred and the effort to regain the position at AIDMK will almost not have an impact on the party like AMMK.
The former minister also accused the weakening of Aiaadmk and strengthened DMK by visiting temples in the assembly segment where Ammk gave candidates.
Police Vilathikulam enrolled a case against 80 people who participated in a Sunday meeting below 143, 269 and 270 of the Indian criminal code and part 2 of epidemic disease acting for violations of limiting locking.
