The All India Technical Education Board (AICTE) has launched Parakh Parakh on January 7, 2022 to assess engineering students in subjects such as physics, chemistry, mathematics during the first year.
In the following years, students will be tested on core engineering disciplines at the appropriate level.
This parallel assessment which will take place every year will be an individual-based assessment of all students.
This will also reflect qualitative assessment of a college.
Students will be questioned with the disciplines, talents and high level thinking skills (Hots).
All technical colleges will be able to participate in this assessment process.
Speaking to the time of education, Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chair, Aicte, said, “Portal to get the right idea of learning outcomes at various levels.
When students receive entrance tickets in the first year, they are expected to study the subjects needed at a reasonable level.”
Through this portal, students will be tested for subjects such as physics, chemistry, mathematics and also about general awareness of technology, communication and skills skills that increase teamwork.
“Every year students can take this test and the questions will be asked according to their learning level, which will help them know the fields that have space for improvement,” added Sahasrabudhe.
In addition to techniques, questions are designed to test communication skills, critical thinking, talent and life skills which include teamwork components.
“Assessment will promote knowledge-centered learning approach rather than using memorizing learning.
This portal also aims to provide feedback on the position of academic-based students and skills today.
Even the teachers can take this assessment test to check their level.”

Through this assessment process, universities will also be able to assess the fields that need to be done to ensure quality education, further added Sahasrabudhe.
The average score of all joint students will be a college score that will be communicated to each college and not to individual students, explaining Sahasrabuddhe.
