AIIMS Bhubaneswar to close the OPD Walk-in service from January 17

Bhubaneswar: AIIMS Bhubaneswar will close the Walk-in OPD (Patient Department) service from January 17 for the temporary period given the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in the state.
More than 156 hospital staff have been positively tested for Covid-19 during the current wave.
However, hospitals will continue the services of the patient department (IPD) in the room, trauma and emergency services, daily care services, radiotherapy, dialysis, emergency operations and sense of life, telemedical services and tele-consulting, anesthesiology (PAC and PAIN clinics), immunization For old registered patients and Covid vaccination services.
Patients who have made their registration online can be present in their respective departments by showing their online ordering numbers at the entry gate.
They have the right to enter the hospital where only one officer (maybe two in an emergency).
The hospital has asked its security staff not to allow media personnel in OPD and IPD without previous permission from the authorities.
Official sources said the overall regular examination of the patient would continue through the AIIMS BHubaneswar Swasthya and Telemedicine application.
All departments limit the patient’s call physically to the OPD unless deemed necessary.
Maintaining requests and loading in views, departments can encourage patients to connect through applications and telemedicine.
Telemedicine services will be available from 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday and 9am to 13:00 on Saturdays on all working days.
Similarly, AIIMS applications Bhubaneswar Swasthya will operate starting at 8:30 a.m.
until 5pm from Monday to Friday and 8:30 to 13:00 on Saturday on all working days.
“If a treating doctor feels that patients are in critical condition and must be physically seen, they can make an appointment through telemedicine or hospital applications.
All elective operations will be limited, and emergency operations will be taken after all Covid protocols.” Read orders National Institute Office.
SN Mohanty’s medical supervisor said there was no emergency case to be rejected by medical treatment on behalf of Covid at AIIMS Bhubaneswar.

All Depitency is recommended to follow the appropriate behavior and protocol to prevent transmission of infection, “he added.
Many faculties, doctors, staff, and students have tested positive covid in a week.

“Therefore, we were forced to stop Walk-in-OPD services in temporary hospitals,” said the official source.
The hospital has also closed the Walk-in OPD during the first and second wave of Covid.
