Nagpur: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Nagpur, celebrating the third day of the Foundation on September 26.
At night the Foundation, Director and CEO of AIims Nagpur, General Major Dr.
Vibha Dutta said the Institute had made extraordinary progress in all directions in the last three years and has emerged as the main Central Indian hospital in a short span of time.
“We have established advanced facilities and ultra modern infrastructure.
Our daily footfall OPD is more than 1,000 and we are targeting up to 2,000 patients this year.
AIIMS fostering medical tourism in Nagpur in the actual sense,” said Dr.
Dutta.
Apart from specialization, various super-specialtial services are available for cardiology, nephrology, neonatology, lung treatment, and pediatric surgery in AIIM.
The IPD complex from the hospital will function fully at the end of this year.
Facilities for transplantation operations and radiotherapy will be available next year.
“During a pandemic, AIIM played an important role in the diagnosis of covid patients with testing of more than 3 lakh samples along with outpatient management and hospitalization of more than 2,600 positive patients.
The post-covid rehabilitation center in AIIMS still serves many patients with post-covid diseases, “Dr.
Dutta said.
AIIMS also manages mucormycosis patients efficiently with an exclusively dedicated environment.
“We get patients not only from various parts of Vidarbha, but also from neighboring countries,” said Dr.
Manish Shrigiriwar, AIIMS medical supervisor.
“For the benefit of the patient, Mahatama Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana Schemes has been implemented in AIIMS,” he added.
Today’s Foundation Day AIIMS Nagpur will celebrate the 3rd Foundation Day on Sunday from 9am and so on.
Minister of Union Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Compatulation for Public Health Dr.
Bharti Pawar, Guardian Minister Nagpur Regency Nitin Raut and Secretary of the Ministry of Health and the Welfare of the Rajesh Bhushan family will be available online.
Dr.
Vikas Mahatme, Member of Parliament and Professor PK Dave, President, AIIMS, Nagpur, will attend physical functionality to be held at AIIMS.
