NEW DELHI: The mutation of virus and individual behavior are both important elements that could activate a Covid tide, a leading physician at AIIMS has told news agency ANI.
“In almost any case, the tide is dependent on two major factors: 1 is virus associated and next is human-related things,” explained Dr Neeraj Nischal, assistant professor (Department of Medicine), AIIMS.
He explained that because mutation of this virus is something which cannot be controlled, so individuals should stick to Covid-appropriate behavior to prevent another surge in situations.
The announcement comes in the background of many states lifting constraints because of a consistent decrease in new virus instances.
Yet, images of people thronging markets and flouting Covid standards have driven specialists to issue warnings regarding an early third tide of the outbreak.
AIIMS main Dr Randeep Guleria on Saturday reported that the next wave could hit India in another six to eight months if people don’t adhere to Covid-appropriate conduct.

“Currently virus mutates and becomes even infectious.
It’s something that’s beyond our control.
But clearly, if we don’t permit this virus to reproduce in our own body then perhaps this sort of mutations could be prevented.
What we can do to restrain is that our behavior.
We’ve been discussing COVID appropriate behavior for 15-16 weeks and we all understand that by Covid-appropriate behavior, an individual will prevent these waves entirely.
That had occurred in the next wave too,” he informed ANI.
Some experts have cautioned against a third Covid tide in India, together with a few suggesting it is inevitable.
As per a snap poll by Reuters, the vast majority of those health care experts feel that India will see another Covid tide by October.
The experts stated that although another wave is forecast to be manipulated at a better manner than the newest outbreakthe pandemic will likely continue to stay a public health hazard to at least a year ago.
