BELOGIVAVI: Hundreds of Muslim women led by All India Majlis-e-Itehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) were protested near the Deputy Office of the Commissioners in Besagavi against violations of headscarves in several Karnataka lecture classrooms.
Muslim women, accompanied by Aimim men, shouted slogans for justice.

Controversy has taken the middle stage now with Pro and anti-hijab protests throughout the state.
Women say that wearing a headscarf is their fundamental rights and the constitution guarantee it to them.
The state must protect that right and immediately allow students to wear headscarves in class.
Women also submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner of MG Hiremath which will be forwarded to the government.
