Aurangabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday said his party will hold agitation in Maharashtra to demand a reservation for Muslims in the country.
Owafi spoke to reporters after attending a conference on the current Muslim condition in Maharashtra organized by the two foundations and policy centers and development practices in Aurangabad.
“The court has admitted that 50 castees in the Muslim community must be given a reservation.
However, while all political parties support the Maratha community, no one is talking about reservations for Muslims,” said the leader Aimim.
“We will hold agitation in Maharashtra to suppress our request for orders for Muslims.
We want the state government to bring regulations in the Nagpur assembly session for bookings,” he said.
The Maratha community must protest for reservations and Aimim will join them, he said.
“The Maratha community in the state has been silent for days.
They must be agitated and we will also join them,” Owaisi said.
The leader of Aimim further condemned the violence that occurred in Amravati Maharashtra and said the investigation had to be done into the incident.
