Panaji: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the campaign trail in Goa on Sunday and said the Gandhi Parivar using the state only as a “destination” and if the Congress to form a government in the state, it would only be “a vacation spot for their leaders”.
He said the BJP aims to achieve the former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on ‘Golden Goa’.
“For us (BJP), Goa means Golden Goa but for Congress, Goa Goa Ka means Gandhi Parivar.
Do you want to Golden Goa or Goa Ka Gandhi Parivar?” Shah said at a public meeting at the launch of the umbrella campaign for the assembly elections.
Goa will go to poll on February 14 to elect 40 members of the house.
“Goa needs a government ‘people first’ and only the BJP that can provide such a government.
Congress can also provide the government, but it will be the government ‘Parivar First’.
If the Congress to form the government, then Goa would be the destination for their leaders,” Shah said, adding, “and if the BJP to form a government, Goa will become a destination for tourists all over the world.
