PUNE: National passenger traffic is gradually advancing at Pune airport following having a 40 percent dip in April, in contrast to January, due to the next wave of the outbreak.
Since per week, the passenger traffic in the airport was about 2,500-3,000 (both arrivals and departures), that wasn’t true during May as soon as the range of departing and arriving passengers dipped into three digits.
Additionally, statistics have revealed that the amount of arrivals because the last week has been greater than departures.
On June 2, a total of 1,709 passengers came and 1,319 passengers left from the airport.
Before that, on June 1, as numerous as 1,674 passengers came and 1,449 of them left.
The tendency was the same in the end of May too.
On May 31, 2,099 passengers came while 1,404 left; on May 30, 1,735 passengers landed at Pune while 1,194 passengers abandoned town and also on May 29, 1,397 passengers came and 1,139 passengers left.
“This really is a fantastic indication that the amount of flyers is slowly growing again but we aren’t maintaining our hopes quite high below the prospect of an incumbent next tide,” an airport official said.
