Bengaluru: Karnataka Ministry of Industry Large and Medium Murugesh Nirani on Wednesday said all major cities in the state will have airports and land acquisition processes will begin soon.
He also said the government would build a permanent helipad in all district headquarters.
“The airport will be built in all major cities in Karnataka.
We will begin the land acquisition process to build the airport immediately.
Domestic air connectivity widening is very important for the development of industry, tourism and other sectors in the region,” Nirani said.
Increasing regional connectivity and air passenger traffic will help spur economic activities.
The Minister speaks at the Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry’s Federation (FKCCI) Export Excellence award ceremony.
Nirani said, in an effort to improve transportation and movement of people who were fast, the government would build a permanent helipad in all district headquarters.

Noting that Karnataka exports in increasing sectors vary, the minister said the country has abundant opportunities, skills, and capacities to excel in the global export market.
