Airtel hikes pra-paid rate entry after 20 months

New Delhi: Airtel hiked the minimum tariff for pre-paid customers after almost 20 months, upcoming decisions a few days after the company has made changes to allegations of post-paid companies and family-cellular packages.
This step displays the willingness of the telecommunications operator which is full of debt to rise rates in India, which has one of the lowest allegations in the world on cellular phones, even when the company struggles with debt and losses.
However, Airtel still avoided a full tariff increase in the view of intense competition from Reliance Jio, which initially destroyed the traditional business finances of the telecommunications industry and launched services with cheap data prices and free sound.
Airtel, while going for an increase, has been careful and careful in not disturbing rates for most customers.
Cutting Wednesday for pre-level entry-level customers whose minimum accusations increase from RS 49 to RS 79.
Change may not make a lot of differences in the company’s margin and with industrial critical benchmarks per user (ARPU) because this is a low-paid non-data user , According to estimates, the user population that will be influenced by this change will be around 50 million and this is mostly 2G (telephone displaying) users who only use the phone for sound.
The last Arpu was recorded airtla at Rs 145, although the Sunil Mittal promoter company has announced this number, saying this industry requires “at least Rs 200” in the short term and Rs 300 in the long run to regain health.
Prashant Singhal, telecommunications partner at Ernst & Young India, said the tariff increase by Airtel was positive positive for the industry “, and showed that the company was willing to take steps to sustain their finances.
“We have the lowest rates in the world, and this industry is bleeding.
To improve service quality and enable companies to participate in 5G and other technologies, companies need profitability and maybe some rationalization of tariffs,” said Singhal Toi.
