Nagpur: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has extended the deadline to submit discriminated against large scale tree felling at Ajni for its projected modal station (IMS) until June 30.
According to a public opinion issued on Thursdaythat the backyard section of the body announced that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) would probably be transplanting over 5,000 trees as opposed to felling them.
The prior notice said that 4,522 trees would be felled for its IMS and the other 408 for railroad over bridge in Ajni.
Pros came down greatly on NHAI, saying that transplantation is a major failure in town and will simply result in significant ecological destruction and loopholes of people money.Till Thursday night, NMC had obtained 420 objection letters.
