Guwahati: Nearly 19 months after being arrested for allegedly inciting violence during anti-caa agitation, Activist Assam and MLA Akhil Gogoi walked out of judicial rights on Thursday after the Special Nia Court released him in an activity that violated the law (prevention) acting.
This is the case of the last Nia delayed against it.
Special Court said there was not enough evidence to hold up gogoi guilty of any terrorism actions under the law called in the case registered with it in 2019.
On June 22, the court had cleared Gogoi from all charges under UPA, in a similar kasing Submitted against him at the Chabua Police Station.
Audo Gogoi Manas Konwar, Dhajya Konwar and Bittu Sonowal were also released.
