Nagpur: Even when the state government has changed the preservation & protection of Maharashtra (urban) trees, 1975 ratified the country’s tree authorities to give permission to fall trees above 200, city corporate officials have found a runaway route.
In the latter case, Akola Municipal Corporation (AMC) issued a public notification that invited objections from people before giving permission to fall trees.
It also includes permission to fall 199 trees for widening NH-161 between Akola-Washim-Hingoli-Nanded.
For the question of how 199 trees only arrived, the Akola Pradeep Tree Officer Rajurkar said, “According to the rules are changed, to fall 200 trees for each project requires the authority permission of the country, we have registered 199 trees.
We have not given permission.

“The NHAI project director Rakeshe Jawade said,” We have asked permission to fall around 300 trees within the limit of the Municipal Corporation Akola.
” “If there are 300 trees that need to be cut down, why the tree officer invites objections to 199 trees.

We Will submit our objections on Tuesday with a tree officer, “said Environmental activist from Akola Sheikh Mohammed Sheikh Munna.
Munna alleged that at least 19 trees more than 50 years cut outside the boundaries of Akola from Prabhat children to Fata Chandur.
Here too, the amended actions have been violated.
The State Ministry of Environment has ordered an investigation into the logging of more than 153 trees ‘inheritance’ recently within the limits of the akot city council.
“The action mandated the authorities who gave permission to declare the 50-year-old trees as a heritage tree.
If the trees at all are cut down, the project initiator must plant a tree equivalent to the age,” Munna said.
When shown, City Commissioner Akola Nima Arora said, “The tree that is cut down is not within the city’s limits.
There is no permission given to fall trees.
The proposal must be sent to the State Tree Authority.
We will cancel the notification issued in the objection of the local daily invitation.
“Munna accused the people’s regrets, the notice stated that the 199 trees proposed to be cut off between Patur and Medshi.
“The stretch between Patur and Medshi is not in the AMC jurisdiction.
Then why notice mentions it,” he asked.
The Rajurkar tree mountains said, “Pate-Medshi is the name of the highway, so we mention it.” Munna said, NH-161 was among akola-washim-hingoli-nanded and not what was mentioned in public notice.
