Nagpur: To encourage people to be attached to the Covid-19 vaccine, Akola District Administration in Vidarbha has taken new initiatives.
They compiled and shot the ‘vaccine song’ in Marathi, with an attraction for residents to be affixed.
Amazingly, instead of professional singers, Deputy Resident District Sanjay Khadse and his wife Neeta sang the song.
They also appear on the video.
This song is now being played in the district administration function to encourage people to vaccinate.
This is valued by the local community because Khadse is a popular bureaucrat in this district.
Akola is always left behind in the vaccination of Covid-19.
There was a time in October-November last year when Akola was among 5 districts in the state, with less than 50% of the population that qualified vaccinated with a single dose.
District administration introduces many new concepts, sidewalks, rules, and conditions to increase vaccination.
Akola also announced ‘no vaccine, no ration’ dictated in October, though then remembering the order.
In the District Video Conference with a low vaccine coverage with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, District collector Akola Neema Arora has promised to ensure that every step that might be taken to increase vaccination in the district.
Finally, they decided to bring songs to convince people to take a vaccine.
“The concept of this song comes from our district collector Neema Arora.
Because I have interest in singing, I decided to be part of the creative team,” said RDC Khadse, who believes music can bring positive change.
Khadse involves Vidarbha’s cultural organization Sanget Sanskruti and when the Mandal Prasarak, and the Society versatile Teekhagat NGO in this work.
Musicians Mukund Nitone wrote and compiled this song, who went ‘Amhi Sangto Hath Jodun, Sarvanni Ghyawa Karun, he Covid Lashikaran’ in Marathi (we asked you with a folded hand to get a covid vaccine).
This song was recorded and edited by Vishwas Sathe while the Chandrakant Patil government videographer shot this song video in Akola.
Milind Dusanane District Information Officer, Mahalan and local artist counseling officers from Akola provide all the necessary support.
“My wife is a happy singer but she is not a professional.
We have tried our best level to bring up a very professional audio-visual appeal for ordinary people.
It was also appreciated,” Khadse said.
In the first wave of Covid-19, when the patient used to remain in isolation for 14 to 19 days, Khadse has introduced a music relaxation therapy at the Covid Care Center.
Many patients used to enjoy karaoke music shows, where leading singers in the usual city entertained them every night.
This initiative is highly valued by the patient too.
Now, songs with foot stirring songs are also valued throughout the district.
