‘All actions in accordance with the law’: MEA on criticism of the handling of the Swamy Stan case

New Delhi: India on Tuesday responded to criticism of the case of Swamy’s booth, a Jesuit Imam and an accused of the Elggar Parishad case who died on Monday, said the actions by the authorities were concerned in accordance with the law.
The External Ministry (MEA) confirms that India is committed to the promotion and protection of human rights of all its citizens.

The 84-year-old child underwent treatment in the intensive care unit of the Holy Family Hospital, where he shifted from Taloja prison in Navi Mumbai after the orders of the Bombay High Court.
He is waiting for interim guarantees for medical reasons in this case.
In a statement, the UN body urged the government to ensure that no one was detained for training their fundamental rights for freedom of expression, assembly of peace and associations.
“We are very sad and disturbed by the death of an 84-year-old father of Stan Swamy,” Liz Throssell, spokesman for the United Nations High Commissioner for the word ham.
