All Delhi except Lutyens’ is now the seller zone: HC

New Delhi: All Delhi except the Lutyens section has become a seller zone today, a Sad Delhi High Court said on Wednesday, adding that there was a “no political or executive will” to eliminate illegal vendors and vendors of city streets.

North Delhi Municipal Corporation is directed to immediately begin the preparation process of street vendors that experts from the planning field must be involved, including from school planning and architecture, IIT, PWD and other bodies.
The municipality was asked to submit a status report that showed the steps taken in this matter.
The court explained that the Civic body commissioner would be personally responsible for complying with this direction and registering a problem to hear on December 6, Sanjeev Ralli’s senior advocate told the court that even though there was a repeat direction for the installation of 330 cameras, none had been installed by the police.
