All entry points / out to the district will be sealed

ThiruvananThapuram: The city will be under strict security on Sunday as part of the total enforcement of locking announced by the state government after increasing Covid cases.
The police have arranged a two-level security cover that focuses on the border of the city and the interior.
Commissioner of the People’s Police G Sparjankumar said that all entry points / out of the city would be sealed.
The police have identified as many as 18 points in / out and have closed the road here with a barricade.
Entering the city will only be allowed for those who have legitimate reasons such as medical emergencies.
Meanwhile, the second police group will focus on checking people who move around it.
For this, as many as 65 checkpoints have been opened.
The city area has been divided into two zones with 38 and 27 checkpoints respectively.
The police have been strengthened with two additional plates with city armed reserve camps to help local police personnel in this task.
Traffic division officers will also be used for vehicle inspections.
In addition, the patrol team has been formed in all police stations to patrol all corners and their boundary angles.
Each station has been assigned with two car teams and one bicycle squad.
The Commissioner added that people who work in the important service sector must bring their official identity card while moving in the city as part of their duty.
Remote travelers must produce relevant travel documents such as tickets to continue their journey if they are stopped by the police.
Patients go to the hospital, candidates will attend the exam, sanitation workers, 24-hour-functioning car service mechanics will be allowed to be traveling as long as they carry an official identity card that is relevant to them.
