Thiruvananthapuram: Chairman of Pinarayi Vijayan said with the eHealth project applied in all government hospitals, the Queue Management System will be introduced to avoid crowding on operations.
When speaking after launching an eHealth program in 50 government hospitals on Monday, the minister’s chairman said the government would ensure that all government hospitals in the state were under the eHealth project.
He said that currently it has been carried out in 311 hospitals where this queue management system has been arranged.
People can take the appointment of doctors through the eHealth portal and will also be easy for doctors to refer patients to other hospitals.
All patient health records can be accessed by doctors who care for sitting in one of the government hospitals.
The aim is to provide electronic health cards for each individual in the state.
This card will store one’s health data from birth to death.
By surveying all hospitals, the details stored on this electronic health card can be assessed by any hospital doctor.
Vijayan said the government had gave sanctions to launch the EHEALTH program in 349 more hospitals.
In the past five years, RS 100 Crore has been approved by the government to implement this program.
Of the total 1,284 hospitals, 707 hospitals will have this facility in the near future.
Health Minister Veena George, who was also present on the occasion, said those who wanted to take an appointment in a hospital that had been able to take it online from https://ehealth.kerala.gov.in portal.
Through online bookings, people can choose the time and date to get a doctor’s consultation.
OP ticket and token slip can be downloaded from the site.
Unique health ID will be issued for people when taking an appointment.
This ID will be a permanent where all the details can be assessed at any time.
Patients will also be able to download laboratory reports and prescription drugs from the portal.
When registering in the eHealth portal, the number of people’s aadhaar must also be given.
