New Delhi: Lenovo’s Motorola made several changes to the Android update policy.
According to online reports, the smartphone maker said that it would not issue an Android update for all moto smartphones.
As reported by Android Authority, Motorola explained that in the update of Android in the future it will be available for telephone models depending on how long people use it.
The company will provide one main android update to all moto smartphones, but the second update will be subjective.
In a statement given to the Android authority, the company said, “Each device has its own achievements in terms of where it needs to be updated and how many updates he gets.
We commit to an OS update, and obviously we continue to review it.
If we find it.
That the device has a longer life cycle on the market, we will clearly review to see if it needs more os increased.
“This new policy change will not be liked by many people.
For example, if people switch or update their moto devices earlier, there is a chance that can damage the use of long-term telephones for others.
Motorola now says that it will update the cellphone as long as people store it.
However, there is a possibility that people will improve their telephone if they feel it is abandoned and will not be updated to the latest software.
Apart from this, Motorola has also confirmed that it will provide two guaranteed Android updates and regular monthly updates to the newly launched 20 Moto smartphone series.
This new smartphone is protected by ThinkShield for cellular which offers additional security protection.
