All new government schools in Delhi become ‘models’

New Delhi: Smart classrooms and labs, smart furniture, conference rooms, aesthetic structures that have green building concepts, water and waste treatment plants, lifts, and many more scheduled to be part of the school to be built on the pattern of government model institutions Delhi.
Such sophisticated infrastructure will be included in eight educational institutions in Jahangirpuri, Aya Nagar, Dwarka, Rohini and Raghubir Nagar, who have been chosen to be created as “smart” schools.
There are around 1,000 schools managed by the Delhi government, including 54 school schools that offer facilities equivalent to some of the most sought-after private schools in the city.
While the government plans to change 100 existing schools as a school model, new institutions will also be made in the same pattern.
According to the Delhi government, there is a demand from the public to provide adequate education infrastructure because of the growing needs.
The government tries to make quality education available for students near their homes.
The government felt there was a need to build a school building with advanced facilities in the pilot school pattern that had been made and assigned.
Construction work and development of school buildings have been assigned to Delhi Tourism & Transportation Corporation development.
The company strives for empanel architects for comprehensive architectural and engineering design services for new buildings.
New schools will boast of smart and lab classrooms, with smart school furniture supply.
Each school will have at least one elevator for different children.
Annual maintenance contract will be provided for five years.
The structure will have a green building concept, such as the maximum utilization of natural light and rainwater harvesting systems.
They will have a waste and water treatment plant.
All components of the project will have a “green feature” to allow schools to obtain a minimum of three star rating on the Griha ranking system by the Institute of Energy and resources or equal rankings of other body framing guidelines for the newly built energy and environment to be built for energy and the environment show.
The buildings will comply with fire safety and ensure that the campus has an adequate open space for student assembly, teachers and staff during natural disasters such as earthquakes.
The government wants schools to have all modern and newest facilities based on domestic and foreign best practices.
