Patna: Nearly 26 districts in Bihar have been influenced by floods and all possible assistance provided for affected people, said Minister Nith Kumar said on Sunday.
“About 26 districts are hit by flooding in the state.
All possible assistance is being expanded to people.
Daily review meetings are carried out together with the issuance of safety guidelines.
People have been evacuated from the affected area and equipped with assistance,” said Chair .
Minister Kumar Nith.
He was present at Gandhi Maidan in Patna to lift the national flag marking 75 years of Indian independence.
Previously on Wednesday, he had visited the areas affected by the flood and ‘ghats’ around the Ganges River in the state to examine the increased surface of the water.
This includes Digha Ghat, Bhadra Ghat, Kangan Ghat, Gandhi Ghat, J P asu, Sonpur, Hajipur, and Mahatma Gandhi Bridge.
Nitish Kumar directs officials to make full preparation for overcoming floods that might come from due to increased surface of the water.
When talking to journalists at Mahatma Gandhi Ghat, the ministerial chief said that the ganga river water surface increased and further increase was also estimated.
Meanwhile, the locals from the village of Sabalpur Diyara have been forced to migrate to Patna due to severe flooding after heavy rainfall.
