Lucknow: Regarding the Covid-19 case in all states, the Government of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday announced that all schools, colleges and universities will remain closed until January 23.
There will be no physical class but online class will be run as per schedule.
The Technical Education Council also announced the postponement of semester and back paper inspection scheduled for January 20 in all state polytechnic colleges.
Examination will now be held from March 15.
“All schools and colleges will remain closed until January 23 after the increase in Covid-19 cases,” said a senior official from the Ministry of Education.
On January 5, the government has announced the closure of all academic institutions from January 6 to January 16, due to a sudden increase in the case of Covid-19.
The government’s decision to face the opposition from the Unaided private school association that said that the decision was not for the benefit of students.
“When the mall, park, and everything is open, why the school has been closed.
This is not a good decision in the future of students,” said the President of the Unaided Private School Association Anil Agarwal.
Lucknow University, Dr.
Apj Abdul Kalam Technical University, Khwaja Minuddin Chisti University and other academic institutions in the city announced that offline classes will remain suspended until January 23 while online classes will be held on schedule.
