Patna: With the intention to ensure the regular class and uphold discipline among students, the state government has decided to appoint regular school principals in all schools.
Speaking with this reporter on Monday, Minister of Education Vijay Kumar Choudhary said the process of creating a new postal principal post in all elementary schools and making appointments fresh in progress.
“The government is interested in bringing qualitative improvements in educational institutions by filling out the empty posts of the teacher and ensuring infrastructure development,” he added.
The Minister also showed that the government had decided to establish at least one +2 school in every Panchayat with the intention of promoting education, especially among girls, in rural areas.
Meanwhile, the Bihar State Higher Education Board (BSHEC) has formed four committees that can suggest ways to bring reforms that are needed to ensure qualitative increase in higher education.
According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Education on Monday, Deputy Chairperson of BSHEC, Kameshwar Jha, has been authorized to coordinate the Committee’s activities and ensure the implementation of their recommendations.
JHA said, “This includes the Academic Reform Committee, NAAC Committee, Committee for Quality Assurance and National Education Policy Committee (NEP).
The panel consists of Chancellor Deputy, senior academics and experts, who will provide valuable inputs to get a system that slips back to its path.
“The Academic Reform Committee will help prepare the state higher education plan and provide input to the board to function smoothly universities and research institutions.
It will also conduct a comprehensive study of the state’s higher education system and submit annual reports for improvement.
In addition, it would suggest steps for the implementation of semester and selected credit systems.
The NAAC committee will assess the base line of all higher education institutions in the state and ensure their assessment and accreditation.
Quality assurance committee, on the other hand, will suggest steps to stimulate the academic environment for increasing learning and research.
The fourth committee will suggest policy steps and prepare a road map for the implementation of NEP.
