Prasagraj: states that it does not oppose direct relations, the High Court of Allahabad provides police protection to the same sex partner facing family opposition with their decisions to move together.
Caushal Division Bench, Kaushal Jayendra and Justice Ajigi Tyagi heard the writing petition submitted by one Anju Singh and his partner from Hapur, said they would need protection to continue the live-in relationship in facing their harassment and threats.
Duo accused their parents threatening to kill them and even mistakenly involved them in a criminal case if they did not end live-in relations.

The High Court must be praised because they enforce their same-sex partners after verifying all related documents.
According to the 2019 order, police protection must be given to couples between caste or interfaith which face threats from family, relatives or others.
The district judge and SPS were empowered to demand that they were found guilty of creating fear on the mind of the pair, the High Court said.
In August, justice benches and colleagues, justice Subhash Chand, has refused the protection of a married woman who lived with his partner, by saying direct relationships could not be permitted at the cost of damaging the country’s social fabric.
