Letter: An alleged robbery ended life in the bathroom of the Nargol Marine police station from the Valsad District on Thursday morning.
This was the second incident of the death of the suspect in the police station in South Gujarat in 10 days.
The deceased was identified as Nitin Urde was found depending on the window of the bathroom vent using the denim pants at around 5:45 a.m., police said.
Urde was arrested along with another suspect by the Detective Branch of the Valsad Police Crime on Thursday.
Police said that there were 11 people in the gang which allegedly held a reservency of a house in Seronda Village.
“They walked back to their car after the reception when they saw our LCB staff and started running.
Our staff chased and arrested two of them,” said Dr.
Rajdeepsinh Zala, Valsad police supervisor.
LCB Sleuths has found a car with a plate of registration that is covered with cow dung, so they become suspicious and maintain a watch in the area.
Urde and his accomplice were taken to the Nargol Marine police station when police received information that other gang members were seen in the forest area near Nargol.
Urde was stored in the police station while his accomplice was taken for search.
The police said that at around 5:45 a.m.
Urde went using the bathroom, a loud sound was heard from the inside, but Urde did not respond.
The police then opened the door and found Urde lying fainted on the floor with his pants on his neck.
“The pants are torn because of weight, but before he falls, he gives up.
We have registered a case of unintentional death and submitting an investigation to the SC / SC police deputy supervisor so that the probe can be handled independently,” Zala said.
Before he took extreme steps, Urde told the police that they came to carry out their robbery and gang from Palghar Maharashtra Regency.
The case of robbery efforts will also be registered.
