Agra: A 19-year-old young man allegedly beaten brutally by a policeman because of suspicion in a shop close to his brother’s shop in the Chatta Agra area above.
Yash Versma was treated at a private hospital on Wednesday after his condition began to deteriorate.
The victim’s family approached BJP Mla Yogendra Upadhyaya and told the incident.
Upadhyaya assured them to talk to senior police officials in this matter.
Talking to Toi, (Picture) Uncle Yash Mithan Lal Verma said that his nephew, a class XII student, innocent and the police beat him brutally due to the legiveness of painting.
Yash’s Elder Brother Prashant Verma has a shop in Khalsa Gali where they polish silver jewelry.
Yash also often visits shops to help his brother.
Prashant told media people that there was theft reported in one of the stores in the area on Sunday.
The next day, the police had called everyone present in their shops that day, to be questioned.
Everything was released at night after the investigation.
On Tuesday, Chowki Incharge peepli showered, called Yash to the police station and allegedly hit him and forced him to acknowledge the crime, which he did not do, claimed Prashant Brother Elder.
Speaking with Toi, Uncle Yash Mithan Lal Verma said that his nephew, a class XII student, innocent and the police beat him brutally due to the legiveness of pain.
His condition was bad, so he had been hospitalized.
“We have reported this to BJP Mla Upadhyaya and urged him for justice in this matter,” he said.
