Mangaluru: A 25-year-old young man from Karwar, who was treated at Wenlock Hospital in Mangaluru after his concern had contracted Nipah infection, was tested negatively for infection on Wednesday.
Youth, who works in a laboratory kit manufacturing unit in Goa, has returned home for the Ganesha Festival.
The sample was sent for testing to the National Institute of Virology (NIV) in Pune after he raised suspicion that he might have contracted a virus.
